CHARACTER

Name: Azusa Miura
Canon: THE iDOLM@STER
Canon point: Prior to Haruka reuniting the group to practice in Episode 24; wiki, anime summary
Age: 21

Summary:
An idol from a modern setting, Azusa Miura is a hopeless romantic who entered the entertainment industry after completing junior college in hopes of finding the true love of her life. Though her production company, 765 Pro, struggled in the early days of its founding, Azusa found stardom relatively quickly when she, Ami Futami, and Iori Minase were chosen to be part of the idol group Ryuuguu Komachi. Under the tutelage of her producer, Ritsuko Akizuki, the group soon began to sell out arenas and Azusa herself found work in all sorts of movies and TV dramas.

Easygoing, easily distracted, and often scatterbrained, Azusa is renowned for her ability to get lost, sometimes even getting lost coming to and from work. Though she's subtly flirty and looking for romance, she's quick to shut down almost any and all advances—she'll know the right person when she meets them. She is occasionally superstitious and believes in fortune telling, and in one instance ends up taking over a fortune telling stall while in full bridal gear. She's the kind of person who asks for very little but who is always willing to help out, and because of this she's often advertised as ‘the perfect older sister’ sort of idol.

Azusa is socially savvy and is quick to balance out the mood when people are distressed, and she will not stand for people insulting people she cares about. She's a trendy person who is up to date on all the latest movies and dramas, and she enjoys visiting stylish cafes while walking her dog, Tora-tan. She has a hard time saying no to both people in need and alcohol.

Powers/abilities: Azusa is a talented idol, and is at one point compared to having the aura of a goddess by a rival idol group. Though she has no innate abilities of her own, she has undergone voice training and stays in good shape. However, her ability to get lost is almost preternatural—if you are not paying close attention to her, she will completely vanish, leaving the area without a sound at the first distraction. Her beauty is also played up this way; even animals find her gorgeous and are willing to follow her.

Inventory: Her incognito clothes; and a duffel bag containing her wallet, cellphone, performance outfit, workout clothes, water bottle, and a magazine about current trends (dated to 2011). Basically, it's everything she'd have on her in transit from one location to the next.

OTHER

Sentimental item: The keys to the production office, held by Ritsuko Akizuki, her producer. To her, these would symbolize ‘welcome home,' and likely have an identifying keychain or two that mark them as being Ritsuko's and no one else's.
Gemstone: A deep purple that fades into a clear/white/silver at the edges, her gemstone is shaped like a flower.

Lost memory #1: Azusa's first lost memory would be everything about her debut in Ryuuguu Komachi except for the name and lyrics of the song she sang. This will lead to some shaky issues with her—she knows she's a successful idol, so why can't she remember where and when she sang that song with the others for the first time? She's forgetful, but she's not that forgetful. It will mostly make her feel uncomfortable, off, and guilty.
Lost memory #2: In episode 23, her other Producer (known simply as Producer-san; he represents the player character from the game series) is involved in an accident that lands him in the hospital. Azusa will forget whether or not he survived the accident, only remembering that he was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital. This will fuel regret and worry on her part—did he die? No, she has to believe in him, but also she has no way of knowing. While in the short-term Azusa is very capable of putting on a brave face, in private this would unsettle her, just as anyone would feel unsettled if they were waiting to find out if a loved one lives or dies.
Altered memory: In episode 18 of the anime (Lots of, Everything), Azusa contracts the mumps and her fellow group members convince their producer, Ritsuko, to perform in her place. In this alteration, Azusa would remember Ritsuko as not being able to perform, causing a short scandal when all of the tickets had to be refunded, not to mention the financial setback to the agency. This will leave Azusa with a memory that has her feeling guilty—she let down her fans, she cost the agency a lot of money, she was the disappointment. At times, this may shake her confidence or harden her resolve to do better, but ultimately it's a nasty memory that makes her feel like she's capable of letting others down in a big way.
